FUNDAMENTALS

Cognex makes machine-vision systems. Cameras, sensors and software that allow factories and warehouses to “see” and inspect, identify, measure and guide objects. It’s a key play in the increasingly automated industrial workplace, providing “eyes” for AI systems and robots to improve factory efficiency. The company has 30,000 customers across 30 countries. It’s not just an industrial company, but an AI, semiconductor manufacturing and warehouse automation player.

Revenue is accelerating, and profitability is expanding dramatically. Q2 2026 revenue reached a record $291 million, up 17% year over year.

From the bearish standpoint, at roughly $63 a share, CGNX has a market cap of 10 billion and a trailing Price-to-Earnings ratio of around 60x. The market is already paying a substantial premium for expected future success.

TECHNICALS

The primary trend is bullish, remaining close to its 52-week high, and is trading above it’s 200 day moving average. RSI is at 51, so momentum is fairly equal right now, indicating it’s neither overbought nor oversold.

Hermes International | ($RMS)

Technicals

Down 24% year to date and 23% over the last year, Hermes is a family owned saddlery shop founded in 1837, still controlled by the founder’s descendants, now worth over $230 billion with the highest profit margins in luxury.

Using StockAnalysis.com as a quick back of the napkin proxy for investor sentiment, out of 22 Analysts Polled, the average 1-year stock price forecast is €1,870, a very strong 21% above current prices.

With downside risk appearing limited as the stock hovers around a 12 month low, most analysts seem bullish.

Fundamentals

The central question from a fundamental standpoint is whether its exceptional profitability and brand security continue to justify it’s valuation. Bags and Saddlery are Hermes economic engine - this division generated 7 Billion Euros in 2025 - about 44% of the group revenue.

The ultimate strength is the pricing power and profitability. The ultimate weakness is slowing growth against a likely demanding valuation. However, much of that may already be priced in with the 12 month stock performance.

Astrological

Jupiter in Leo is one reason of many why I’m bullish on luxury goods. Apart from the obvious “regal” association, there’s also the Pluto-in-Aquarius “French Revolution Wealth Gap” effect, in which the rich and wealthy continue to compound their wealth, and their consumption is usually through extremely exclusive luxury goods.

The August 12th solar Eclipse conjoined the natal Mars and Chiron directly, giving a bit of a negative window opening up. I’ve seen an erry rule of thumb play out with eclipses - the impacts can be seen before the event itself occurs. It’s common practice to give a wider window of influence for eclipses - 1 month before and after, 3 months before and after, even 1 year before and after - and in financial astrology, there is a case to be made for the same. This Eclipse occurring negatively in August 12th, even observing price from July 12th to the current day, it’s down 6%.

Jupiter conjoins the natal Mars, the degree of the Solar Eclipse on September 26th, which looks bullish - Jupiter/Mars contact indicates aggression and striving for growth.

Around October 26th could be challenging, with transiting Jupiter in a square to the natal Pluto, which looks a bit bearish. This is concerning since this is also a bearish period in the markets in the macro astrology sense too - I’m bearish on Equities generally in October, which could present a buying opportunity.

If there is a bearish October, the period after October 29th could be quite bullish, with transiting Uranus in a trine to the natal Jupiter at this point - a classic positive indicator. Again, it’s pointing to a post-October recovery or bullish sentiment returning in the wider market.

It’s also strongly punctuated by the fact that transiting Pluto will be in a trine to natal Jupiter around January 14th. So this November into January window looks pretty strong.

Each article I write has a mix of fairly specifics calls and wider trends and commentary, as such I don’t audit every single sentence of my articles, but I try to evaluate any key predictions that are mentioned.

All the quotes in this article are pulled from my article here:

How did the predictions perform in August?

“I believe oil is setting up for a further price increase this month.”

• Hit. Between August 1st and August 22, a barrel of Brent crude rose about 11% to $92 per barrel, before ending the month lower at 87.96, ending the month up about 5%.

“A surprise attack could come within August on Iran. I believe this is fairly likely.”

• Partial. Whilst not a boots on the ground situation, the US treasury launched “Operation Economic Outcast” described as an “Economic D-Day” against Iran. Scott Bessent was the public face of the rollout. Its purpose is to intensify sanctions and isolate Iran by cutting off economic lifelines.

“Kings, Leaders and Royal Figures are in Danger with the Total Solar Eclipse in Leo.”

Hit. This month saw the death of King Harald V of Norway. As Leo is the sign of celebrity, we also saw notable celebrity deaths including Dolly Parton and Tim Curry.

THE PREMISE

Zodiacal Releasing is a Hellenistic technique that was revived and popularised in modern astrology in the 1990’s. Similarly to Jyotish’s Mahadashas, it divides up the life into a sequence of periods and sub-periods, with some additional significators of significant time periods such as the loosing of the bond, peak periods and culmination periods.

In this test, I will take the IPO chart for the first trade of Nvidia stock (January 22nd, 1999, 09:30 AM, New York) and analyse its ZR (Zodiacal Releasing) periods against its historical price action. Can we find consistently bullish periods, bearish periods, or other valuable patterns?

In this technique, we can release from the lot of spirit, or the lot of fortune. I will be releasing from the lot of fortune. Can it reveal anything about Nvidia?

THE METHOD

As you can see in this natal chart of Nvidia, the lot of fortune is at 22 Taurus, and the lot of spirit is at 19 degrees Capricorn. There are many softwares which can calculate zodiacal releasing periods. I am using Astrogold for Mac.

For the sake of ease, I will be testing Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 ZR periods. I won’t include Level 4 ZR periods as they are only a few days apart and add a lot of noise to the data.

DATA INTEGRITY

Now we need daily price data for NVIDIA stock from its IPO on January 22nd 1999. One way of reliably doing this is using Google Sheets’ Google Finance Tool.

Try it yourself - open a new Google Sheet and paste this into cell A1:

It should return every trading day with date, open, close, high, low and volume. Hopefully you have something like this:

Nvidia has split its stock six times, so old share prices must be adjusted to match today’s share count. The data appears to have been adjusted correctly.

The main problem is that Nvidia’s early share prices were extremely low and recorded only to the nearest cent. Before 2016, tiny short-term price moves can be distorted or erased by rounding. That makes short Zodiacal Releasing periods unreliable for the early data.

So the analysis only uses short periods starting from 2016 onward, when the price data is precise enough. It is better to use fewer reliable examples than many inaccurate ones.

Also, Nvidia has grown very quickly over its whole history - about 36.6% per year. That means simply asking “did the stock go up?” is not useful, because it usually did. The important question is whether Nvidia performed better or worse than its normal long-term growth trend during particular Zodiacal Releasing periods.

Now we just need to choose a data processor of your choice to crunch the numbers. (I’ll be using Kimi K3 from Moonshot.)

27 years of data are covered, so we’re taking quite a lot into context.

KEY FINDINGS

Before we see the results, we need to understand de-trending.

The secular drift of Nvidia stock is about 36.6% per year. We want to find periods that report excess return - or the annualised period minus the stock’s own secular drift. Prices will also be adjusted for stock splits

There are 20 Level 2 Periods Analysed. The 5 most bullish Level 2 periods as a whole are as follows:

The 5 most bearish Level 2 periods as a whole are as follows:

For the much shorter Level 3 Periods, the top 5 most bullish periods were:

1. Capricorn 2023-05-11 (67d, +57.4%)

2. Capricorn 2025-04-05 (67d, +52.6%)

3. Capricorn 2016-09-19 (67d, +49.7%)

4. Gemini 2017-05-07 (50d, +48.1%)

5. Leo 2023-12-24 (48d, +47.7%).

Three of the top five most bullish periods are Capricorn periods.

The top 5 most bearish level 3 periods were:

1. Capricorn 2018-11-03 (35d, −31.3%)

2. Cancer 2025-02-14 (50d, −30.3%)

3. Leo 2021-12-12 (47d −27.4%)

4. Scorpio 2022-04-08 (38d,−26.8%)

5. Sagittarius 2018-10-04 (30d, −25.1%)

CANCER PERIODS

Both Cancer Level 2 periods were difficult. The 2001 to 2003 window drew down 90.0% peak to trough and finished down 33.3%. The 2008 to 2010 window drew down 57.1% and finished down 7.4%. They are the only two Level 2 periods in the sample with a negative return. Of course, this also perfectly aligns with the dot-com bubble burst and the 2008 crash. Any stock’s chart could look bearish in those windows.

And at Level 3, where there are nineteen Cancer periods rather than two, the effect disappears - Cancer ranks fifth of twelve signs, with a median +3.7% and 58% of periods positive. Post 2016 it’s +6.5% and 67% positive.

ANGULARITY FROM FORTUNE

The four signs angular to Fortune - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius - returned a median +8.8%, against +4.5% cadent and +1.6% succedent, across the 92 precision-clean Level 3 periods since 2016.

SATURN PERIODS

In the clean post 2016 data, Saturn-ruled periods return a median +23.6% with a 77% win rate, the strongest of any ruler. Three of the five most bullish level 3 windows are Capricorn. The level 2 period closing this week is Capricorn, at +130%.

THE LOOSING OF THE BOND

The Level 2 loosing of the bond on April 10th 2024, was followed by a bullish AI expansion that topped on January 6th, 2025, exactly 8.9 months later. Nvidia then fell 36.9% into its April 2025 low.

This rhymes with what I found whilst experimenting with a chart I use for the Dow Jones chart - where all four Loosing of the Bond transitions (1936, 1956, 1980 and 1999) preceded a major cyclical top within two to ten months, but I don’t think there’s enough data to form any conclusions yet.

USING THE RELEASING PERIODS

On August 28th, 2026, Nvidia’s Level 1 Period changes from Gemini to Cancer.

Level 1 and Level 2 Cancer period runs from August 28th, 2026 to September 16th, 2028. Remember - in our testing, Cancer periods were the most bearish.

Notice the Loosing of the bond period on February 6th 2028. This is the same type of marker that preceded the January 2025 top by nine months, and that preceded four consecutive Dow Jones cyclical tops in my experimental research.

So, we could anticipate that the deepest drawdown of the Cancer period should begin within 60 days of the February 6th 2028 loosening of the bond - this could align with the Saturn Return in the Nvidia IPO chart, which occurs March 26th 2028. There is a tension here, with a Saturn return classically indicating contraction and restructuring - yet on this chart Saturn's zodiacal releasing periods have been the most bullish of any ruler, and both Level 3 periods running from February to June 2028 are Saturn ruled, so I'm watching to see which reading wins.

To conclude, I find zodiacal releasing to be a valuable technique to analyse a stock’s timing, although in future I’d like to test it on an asset which doesn’t have an insanely bullish annual drift. Things aren’t quite as clear but as I hoped when testing this technique. I will in future analyse Zodiacal Releasing with something more volatile such as Bitcoin.

In the framework I use - tropical whole sign houses with sidereal nakshatras - Rahu is currently at 29 tropical Aquarius and therefore within Dhanishtha, which spans around 17 degrees tropical Aquarius to 0 degrees tropical Pisces.

Dhanishtha translates roughly as “wealth” or “the desirable object”, from the Sanskrit “Dhan” meaning wealth, as in Dhan or Dhana Yogas - combinations for wealth in an individual natal chart.

Several transits of Rahu, or the North Node, through Dhanishtha coincide with periods of financial stress and economic transition, as we are in right now.

This article was inspired by the work of Portuguese financial astrologer João Medeiros, who has popularized the application of the Chaldean planetary order to calendar-year market cycles - I have expanded on this inspiration in this report, synthesizing it with one of Wall Street’s biggest cycles.

Ancient Babylonian and Indian Astrologers observed the 7 main celestial bodies in the sky: the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.

There is a phrase, the “Chaldean Order,” which is sometimes associated with modern numerology circles. Still, the word “Chaldean” actually refers to a tribe in ancient Babylon whose name became associated with astronomers and astrologers of all kinds.

The “Chaldeans” proposed an order of the planets based on their apparent speeds as observed from our perspective on Earth.

In order of increasing perceived speed through the heavens from our perspective on Earth (slowest to fastest), the order is Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon.

There’s also good evidence that the famous Hellenistic Astrologer Vettius Valens was aware of this ordering of the planets by apparent speed.

“And the order of the stars in relation to the days holds thus: Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn. But the arrangement of their orbits [around the Earth] is thus: [Saturn], Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Moon - Vettius Valens, Anthologies, 1.10, trans. Mark T. Riley (Sacramento: California State University, 2010), 17.

Valens is describing the planetary day sequence and the orbital speed order here, what we are calling the Chaldean order or Chaldean 7 Year Cycle, which runs Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon.

Does this 7 year cycle have any predictive value in the markets?

THE CHALDEAN 7 YEAR CYCLE & THE MARKETS

For stock market data going back to 1928, we use NYU Professor Aswath Damodaran’s historical returns table. Damodaran's data retroactively uses the S&P Composite Index of 90 stocks for the pre 1957 years, and labels it under the S&P 500 lineage. So while the table says "S&P 500," the 1928 to 1956 observations are technically the S&P 90 Composite total returns.

PART I

As we saw in my article “Jupiter Enters Leo | Bṛhaspati & Śani as Market Directors”, we saw the eerie impact of transiting Saturn and Jupiter on certain sector ETF’s. This wasn’t a magic bullet, but it was hard to ignore the data - Jupiter in Gemini leading to XLC communications services outperforming the S&P 500 by 11% in the same timeframe. Jupiter in Pisces leading to incredible gains for the XOP Oil and Gas ETF. Saturn’s transit through Aquarius destroying Cathie Wood’s ARK Innovation ETF.

Of course, this isn’t a magic bullet, and certain “zodiacal key words” sectors didn’t always beat the market, of course - we still need to consider fundamentals and technicals - but there is enough correlation here to say “there’s a there there.”

So naturally, we have now entered a fresh one-year cycle of Jupiter in Tropical Leo and Saturn in Tropical Aries. Let’s go through the fundamental, astrological, and technical analysis for some of my Jupiter in Leo stock picks.

It’s worth noting that I will likely enter these positions around October if we see a market crash, as I anticipate, by October, and a local bottom in equities generally. This will be an excellent buying opportunity.

Again, to make it clear - I am expecting a very strong correction by October, and the “full crash” sometime in 2027 - more research on 2027 to come.

As of the time of writing, late July, I’m being very cautious with equities as we see the Jupiter-Pluto opposition go exact and enter eclipse season. Again - August through October is super bearish - and October will be the month of the strong correction, in my view.

PART II | JUPITER IN LEO STOCK PICKS

First off, Rowan, if you’re expecting a stock market crash in October and sometime in 2027, why risk your money in stocks? It’s all about relative strength. Even if the market tanks and is super weak, all traders and investors ultimately want to beat the market.

So we can be aware of a potential crash around October, wait to see if that happens, and then strategically position for the next 12 months, knowing full well we might see another crash in 2027. It’s all about relative strength and performance against the wider market. If (when) there’s a crash, these will still fall, but we’re aiming for higher performance relative to the wider market over the next 12 months.

Polymarket currently has a 17% chance that Gold will have the best performance in 2026 out of the S&P 500, Gold and Bitcoin - and for the sake of putting my money where my mouth is, I’ve put a little bet on Gold providing better performance than Bitcoin and the S&P 500 this year. Of course, I’m also speculating on that reality through these stocks.

So without further ado, here are the 10 or so stocks I’m looking at.

Now, here’s the important part- this is a directional bias, not a guarantee. The signal is real but it’s never simple. Macro shocks, central bank policy, geopolitical events, and individual company fundamentals can all override the positive signal in any given period.

PART II | JUPITER - THE ETF DATA

Jupiter in Gemini | May 2024 - June 2025

Gemini governs communications, media, technology, and transport. When Jupiter entered Gemini from May 2024, the prediction was straightforward - these sectors should benefit from a 12 month expansion tailwind.

Here’s what actually happened in the data:

XLC, the Communication Services ETF, beat the S&P 500 by nearly 11%. That’s a significant outperformance for a sector signal that you could have positioned for twelve months in advance. Technology, transportation, and semiconductors all underperformed the benchmark - which brings us to an important caveat.

This month’s Financial Astrology overview of July is being delivered as a podcast very soon, so I’d like to begin by reviewing the predictions made in my article “The Financial Astrology of June 2026”

PREDICTIONS LEDGER

Each article I write has a mix of fairly specifics calls and wider trends and commentary, as such I don’t audit every single sentence of my articles, but I try to evaluate any key predictions that are mentioned.

How did the predictions perform in June?

• “After a new moon pump in technology oriented Gemini on the 14th, Venus in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius on June 17th would be the ideal time for some pullback in tech stocks.”

Hit. Between Thursday 11th June Wednesday 17th June the NASDAQ 100 increased 5.76%. June 17th itself saw the trading day on this index down 1.5% in the last hour of the trading day.

• “Venus in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius could bring some anger amongst artists and creatives against the use of AI technology and such things”

Partial. June 17 saw the G7 Summit in France, where AI leaders and G7 leaders discussed the U.S. administration's "weaponization" of AI. AI leaders met for a working lunch on “ensuring a safe rapid and effective deployment of artificial intelligence”. The Trump administrations’ controls on Anthropics Fable 5 dominated the discussion.

• Chiron entering Taurus on June 19th will likely bring some headlines that foretell of pressures to come around food supply chains and energy costs.

Hit. Exactly on June 19th, we saw the Canadian Government officially announce a 10% import tariff on canned vegetables, it took effect immediately from June 19th. Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne announced the measure as a "provisional safeguard" to protect local producers. This is of course the first day of a wider transit, so these stories are still likely to come up in the following months.

• “This could be a good time for Oracle, which is trading at $192, roughly 40% below its all time high. 36 of 43 analysts say “Buy” with a $244 median target.

  Earnings come out on June 10th, during a lunar return for the IPO chart and off the back off that highly positive Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer, which is the 2nd house of money and wealth for the Oracle IPO chart. It looks good to me.”

Miss. Despite wider bullish consensus, Oracle took a 20% tumble over the month of June.

• “We’re in for a bullish June for Nvidia”

Miss. Nvidia remained fairly stable, down only 6% on the month.

• If I was Elon’s personal astrologer (I’m available for hire if he’s reading this), I’d love to see a first trade chart closer to 11:30am rather than 09:30am on the dot.

Hit. SpaceX began trading at 11:46 AM on June 12th rather than the expected 09:30 AM time frame.

• “Bottom Line: Bearish Bitcoin”

Hit. Bitcoin began the month at the 73K level before wiping off 12% and plunging towards the 62K support level.

• “The June 9th Venus-Jupiter conjunction is the month’s most bullish signature”

Partial. Astrologers were eyeing the 9th June for a peace deal to rally the markets, but using a wider orb for the Venus/Jupiter conjunction we saw a major agreement come on June 15th, with markets reacting positively, the S&P 500 up 1.7% on that day and oil prices dropping.

• “Skip the SpaceX IPO”

Hit. After soaring to $220, SPCX swiftly crashed 20%, with the stock down 3% since IPO.

This is of course just a rough audit and score - I’m aiming to implement more statistically rigorous methods of accuracy calculation into my articles further down the line.

$WLD | WorldCoin

$WLD is the native token of the Worldcoin network - the iris-scanning “proof of personhood” project linked to Sam Altman.

Birth Time Source: October 17th 2024, 09:30 AM in San Francisco

This gives us a Scorpio ascendant with Mercury and Venus rising in the 1st, the Sun tucked away in the 12th, and Jupiter in the 8th house of other people’s money and shared resources - a fitting placement for a token whose entire thesis is pooled identity and shared infrastructure.

Transiting Jupiter will sextile the natal Uranus on June 13th was highly positive, with WLD up 26% between 9th June and 15th June. There’s a remarkable three hit cluster on June 19th as Jupiter trines natal Neptune and squares the natal Moon followed by Jupiter trine natal Venus and opposite natal Pluto, both exact around June 29th. That’s quite a mixed bag for Worldcoin but seems volatile yet bullish.

Longer term, transiting Pluto squares natal Mercury exactly at the end of February 2027, alongside Jupiter squaring the natal Ascendant around the same time. This is a very bearish time, indicating that early 2027 could be a period of structural or regulatory pressure that reduces price action significantly.

However, July 2030 looks like the most potent time as we see transiting Uranus at 21 Gemini conjoin the natal Jupiter in the chart. Transiting Jupiter is also conjoined the natal Ascendant, so if the proof-of-personhood protocol does become widely used, Worldcoin could benefit from this a lot over the next 4 years.

Bottom Line: Bullish June, Bearish February 2027, Bullish 2030

$LASE | Laser Photonics Corp

Laser Photonic Corp has had a nuclear bomb of growth and a huge drop over the last week. It’s up 145% over the past month.

The tiny industrial tech company sells laser cleaning and surface prep machines, and right now the market treats it as a highly speculative, story driven micro cap. The stock exploded following a major $13.2 million order from the US Navy.

Birth Time Source: September 30th 2022 at 10:20 AM In New York.

Between May 7th and the present time, we saw the following positive bullish indicators in the stock chart:

• Transiting Uranus trine natal Venus

• Sun conjunct Uranus on May 7th

• Neptune conjunct natal Jupiter (Over-Optimism)

• Pluto trine the Sun within 2 degrees.

Can it sustain the rally? Party yes. I think there’s more positivity for this company occurring in January 2027. At this point in time, transiting Uranus is trine the natal Venus exactly, transiting Jupiter conjoins the midheaven, and transiting Pluto trines the natal Sun/Venus conjunction within a few degrees.

The chart is well-supported through June. Jupiter trine natal Neptune, and transiting Uranus sextile natal Jupiter, goes exact June 21st - the summer solstice. This can indicate further sudden expansion, the kind of contact that fits a surprise order pop.

In July, Jupiter will trine the natal Jupiter and the natal Moon by July 27th.

September sees Neptune conjoining natal Jupiter which can indicate over-optimism. Jupiter opposing natal Saturn on September 27th can also see some pullbacl.

December is more bearish as transiting Saturn opposes the natal Sun in this chart on December 10th, with Neptune opposing the natal Venus.

Bottom Line: Bullish June/July, Bearish December 2026, Bullish January 2027

$NAT | Nordic American Tankers

is up 89% over the last year and around 56% year to date. The shipping company makes its money moving crude oil around the world on mid-sized tankers. It’s highly tied to the global oil and freight cycle. It’s a small cap, potentially high beta shipping stock.
